my morning routine

I started implementing this morning routine about a month ago when I decided it was time for ME and it has completely changed my day, mood, mindset, and attitude! I know, I know, it’s taken me a lot longer than I’d like to get to this point, but we can’t change that part now can we! The only thing we can change now is today and moving forward! Before reading this, why don’t you read my recent post on 10 tips on creating a happier YOU, and then circle back to this one – maybe it will give a little more motivation!
If you know me, you know routines/schedules/to-do lists/itineraries and all of the checklists, are MY THING. Therefore (I’m not proud of this one) I get a little FUSSY when things go a little different. Which also means, I THIRVE when everything goes as planned/smoothly 😛 (who is she? an event planner? nooo…..) I’ve finally found a morning routine that works for me, and that I’ve been able to do consistently (which is key!) And I seriously feel SO GREAT! <3
MY MORNING ROUTINE
6:30am wake up
- put on my Apple Watch
- drink my lemon water
- quick 5 minute journal entry
- get dressed
- brush my teeth
- morning skincare routine
- start tea kettle
- put toast in the toaster
- take my vitamins
- make a fresh glass of lemon water
- drink my tea + eat my toast & fruit in silence
7:30am move my body
- 15 minutes of YouTube pilates – my favorite video!
- 5 minutes of a nice quick stretch – I do this on my own
- 5 minutes of vacuums – nope, not my Dyson! LOL. This video explains + shows it well!
- 5 minutes meditation – I spend the first 5 minutes of this video doing my vacuums, and the last five as a meditation.
8:00am protein shake
- make + drink my protein shake
- leave to grab coffees (I need HELP finding a creamer in Canada that I like for home coffees!)
8:45am social media
- quick scroll / show some love to people I follow
- respond to comments + DM’s
- post my IG content for the day
9:30am work
- writing + editing blog posts
- creating reels
- working on content calendar
- emails
11:30am lunch
- prepare kettle for peppermint tea
- prepare lunch
- eat lunch + drink tea
12:15pm movement
- 45min walk outside
- planet fitness with Kev for weight lifting (until we have our well equipt home gym 😛 )
- garage/at home workout
- Wheelhouse Cycling class
- Orangetheory Fitness class
^ This all depends on the weather, if Kev can take a longer lunch break, or my cycle! (yes, I cycle coordinate and it’s the best freaking thing ever! Follow the Balanced Beyers Sisters on instagram if you’re interested! I get ALL of my info from them!)
Mine is BY FAR the 30 minute of pilates, stretching, vacuums, and meditation that I give to myself each morning! SO refreshing!!
